Crewed Charters for Scuba Diving

SCUBA DIVE THE CARIBBEAN

INQUIRE OR BOOK YOUR NEXT CHARTER VACATION THAT INCLUDES SCUBA DIVING!

In the last blog, we focused on Greece as a charter destination (you can read it here: https://www.crewedcharteryachtvacations.com/chartering-greece-2020/).

Being a global broker, we have boats in most of the major chartering destinations and if you are considering a luxury charter that includes scuba diving or a dive certification, then this edition is for you! The climate of the Caribbean is tropical, with the average daily temperature of around 77 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit (25 to 28 degrees Celsius) and high humidity. The region offers mostly calm and warm waters (79 degrees Fahrenheit or 26 degrees Celsius), beautiful long white sandy beaches, and a huge variety of marine life; perfect for a catamaran-based diving experience.

So, if you are looking to obtain your diving certification onboard or are an old hand at diving, or simply prefer snorkelling, the options are virtually limitless.

Including scuba diving on your next charter vacation is an ideal way to
ensure a perfect blend of relaxation and water-based activities to
refresh the mind, body and soul. Children as young as 10 years of age can start scuba diving if they have parental permission and are considered healthy. Some boats have an Instructor on board and can offer certification or a Divemaster to accompany certified divers, while some boats offer rendezvous diving only.

The US and British Virgin Islands have the clearest water with visibility
as much as 10m or 30 ft or more and offer an incredibly healthy
marine life, spoiling the diving enthusiast who has an appreciation for
healthy reefs and the aquatic life that these reefs support.

Wreck of the Kodiak Queen – BVI

The Kodiak Queen is about the ground-breaking transformation of a decorated WWII warship that survived Pearl Harbor, into an artificial reef and dive site by Richard Branson in the British Virgin Islands. She lies at 17m or 57ft at the deepest.

Wreck of the HMS Rhone – BVI

The RMS Rhone is a 310 foot or 94m Royal Mail Steam ship that attracts wreck enthusiasts to dive a maximum depth of 85 feet or 26m of water. It is located just off the coast of Salt Island in the palatial paradise known as the British Virgin Islands.

Underwater Sculpture Park – Grenada

The sculptures found in Grenada’s underwater park have become one with the marine space in such a profound way that upon diving to see them firsthand, you may be led to believe, based on what you see and the atmosphere, that art has existed since ancient times.

Turks and Caicos Islands

Sits on top of an ocean cliff that dramatically drops over 6000ft. This creates an ideal wildlife habitat thanks to the changing water temperature, reefs and underwater vegetation. Reef sharks are almost guaranteed (or as near as possible) on every dive, whereas hammerheads, less so.

Bahamas

The Bahamas are something of a shark diving mecca, offering a good variety of species as well as dive types. Natural dives with Blacktip reef sharks, as well as feeding dives where
bait is offered to the circling sharks, are both on offer.

Tobago

On the southwest tip of Tobago is the tourist center of Crown Point. It is the epicenter of tourist activity and for a good reason; it features nutrient-rich waters off the coast allowing for a wide variety of coral and fish life. There is something in Crown Point for everyone.
